A Little Less Conversation, a Little More (Climate) Action

To limit impacts of climate change and keep global warming to 1.5°C, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions must be halved by 2030, for a pathway to net-zero by 2050. The UN Environment Programme concludes in its 2021 Emission Gap Report, that there is still a large ambition gap by 2030 and that we are not on track. For an orderly transition to a low-carbon economy, enormous investments are required. As part of our sustainable investment strategy, we have developed several tools to judge the performance of companies when it comes to climate action. As part of our net-zero commitments, we have pledged to make all our portfolios carbon neutral by 2035.

This issue of the Sustainable Investments Quarterly highlights how we are already taking climate action today to ensure it does not become another unfulfilled promise.
